We are looking for a talented and experienced Freelance Production Assistant that will be initiating, planning, executing, and managing projects for Goren.Design Studio's new start-up:

This role is crucial for our business, as we are looking for someone who can help us organize ARCA's Online and Offline events and then create growth strategies for serving our beloved audience: voluntaryists and anarchists looking to Exit & Build in Mexico.

How does this job look like?

As any production job, you get to work partly online, from home or wherever you have a quiet, calm environment, a good webcam, and a fast internet connection. The other part is offline, mostly organizing live events and building new connections.

The work is fun, fresh, and dynamic. You will be working directly with our founder, helping manage a mix of projects like:

• Manage relationships with suppliers and partners in name of our CEO, to obtain results. This will require intensive follow-up.
• Scouting and Lead Generation for team members, providers, business opportunities.
• Create reports and consolidate information.

We're not big on stress, and so we expect an efficient professional that gets things done, paying attention both to the big picture and the day-to-day tasks.

The hours are super flexible. We will work with your schedule to get a routine that works for you. We aim to just have a daily 15-minutes checkpoint and a longer weekly strategy call.

How does the role feel like?

As an Production Assistant, you need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done and be good at solving puzzles!

You should be good at learning how to operate new software, since we have a few constrains regarding the platforms we use. We like to be systematic in our approach so we use Standard Operating Procedures, Kanban and Gantt charts a lot.

You will be on Slack and Zoom video calls a lot, and so you need to enjoy talking with people and giving/getting direction.

Finally, this job is for someone that finds pleasure in nailing down the details. Someone aware that we don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed. Someone that knows it is better if we slow things down and get them done right. It's a meticulous job in which you make minimal mistakes and think for yourself.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for a candidate that plans to live long term in the beautiful Playa del Carmen, in the Mexican Riviera Maya. Given the social nature of the work, it needs to have good communication skills both in English and Spanish, with at least 1 year of experience in organizing/producing events.

We don’t expect perfection for you to qualify for this job, and you'll get training as needed (usually in the form of video tutorials or protocols for easier execution.) We are big on making our jobs easier over time.

We do expect intelligence, energy, and a "get it done" attitude. When you have questions, you will find the answers within a quick Slack message.

In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes.

What's the deal?

This is a part-time, goal-oriented job. The pay is per hour, in USD, and the expected hourly load will be 10-20 hours per week.

We're looking to bring our new Production Assistant on board as soon as possible, but we will spend the necessary time to find the best fit both in abilities and culture. One thing that will give you a BIG leg up (but is optional) is to send a quick video along with your introduction email.
